Horseback riding is popular (we are in Texas after all) and we offer a variety of rides from one-hour beginner trips to guided 3-hour rides exploring the area petroglyphs and quicksilver mine.

Stop in for a bite at the Big Bend Adventures Cafe or stop in at the convenience store for some last-minute needs before heading into the park.

From Alpine, TX:
Take Route 118 South and follow signs for "Study Butte" and Big Bend National Park. We are 80 miles South at the junction of Routes 118 and 170.

From Marathon, TX:
Take Route 385 South through Big Bend National Park to Panther Junction. Turn right and follow the road out of the Park into Route 118. We are located at the junction of Routes 118 and 170.
